The North Carolina Behavioral Threat Assessment Investigation Overview is a standardized framework used in TATM to guide multidisciplinary teams in identifying, evaluating, and managing individuals who may pose a risk of targeted violence. Utilized in the form of a validated Structured Professional Judgment tool, it supports consistent documentation; informed decision-making; and the development of proportionate, prevention-focused intervention and management strategies aimed at supporting public safety by reducing targeted violence risk for persons of concern.
